Welcome. This website belongs to Berat Şimşek, an independent freelancer who designs and builds websites, based in Türkiye ("I", "me", "my"). By using this site, you agree to the terms below. They are written plainly and kept short.

What this site is

This site describes the web design services I offer and lets you get in touch. It is a portfolio and an introduction, not a store and not a binding offer.

Information on this site is not a binding quote

Prices shown here (for example, "from $3,000") are starting points to give you a sense of range, not fixed quotes. Timeframes, package contents, and support periods described on this site are general descriptions, not guarantees for your specific project.

Your actual price, scope, timeline, and terms are set out in a written proposal and a signed contract, which is the only agreement that binds either of us. If anything on this site differs from your signed contract, the contract governs.

The chat assistant

The chat bubble on this site is an AI assistant, not me. It answers questions about pricing, packages, process and timelines from information I gave it, and it can still be wrong or out of date.

Anything it tells you is for information only. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a commitment. Your price, scope and timeline exist only in a written proposal and a signed contract, and if the assistant ever contradicts your contract, the contract governs.

The assistant does not give medical, legal, financial, or tax advice. Please don't share sensitive or confidential information with it. How chat messages are handled is covered in my Privacy Policy.

The example projects shown here are concept work

The case studies on this site (such as Rowan Dental, Lumen Aesthetics, and Kessler Plumbing & Heating) are concept work for fictional businesses, created to demonstrate my design and build quality. They are clearly labeled as such. They are not real clients, and any names, brands, figures, and imagery in them are invented for illustration. Some imagery is AI-generated and labeled where used.

Intellectual property

The design, code, text, and images on this site are mine (or used with permission) and are protected by copyright. You may view the site and share links to it, but please don't copy, reproduce, or reuse its content or code without my written permission.

When you and I complete a paid project, ownership of that project's deliverables transfers to you as set out in our contract. Separately, I may show that work, or anonymized elements of it, in my portfolio unless our contract says otherwise.

Contacting me and acceptable use

This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at anyone under 18. When you use the contact form, the chat assistant, or email me, please provide accurate information and don't use the site to send unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, or to attempt to disrupt the site. How I handle the information you send is covered in my Privacy Policy.

No warranty and limitation of liability

This site is provided "as is." I do my best to keep it accurate and available, but I don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and I'm not responsible for the content of third-party sites I link to.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. This section is about the website itself; the terms of any paid work between us are governed by our separate contract.

Governing law and disputes

These terms, and your use of this website, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Aydın, Türkiye have jurisdiction over any dispute about the website itself. I live and work in Aydın, so that is where I can be taken to court and where I would answer.

Paid projects are separate. The law and the venue that apply to a project are set out in the contract we sign, and this section does not change that.

I may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
